There's a comic book called _Vimanarama_, published by Vertigo Press (which is DC comics when they publish stuff too weird to have "DC comics" on the cover). The writer is Grant Morrisson, who is eccentric and brilliant.
Anyway, apparently Vimanas are Hindu spirits, and Vimanarama could be translated as "the Vimanas of Rama". And, indeed, the comic features both Vimanas and Rama (and flying saucers, demon armies, love at first sight, and much more).
However, reading the book, it's clear that author Morrison is making a bilingual pun. There are Vimanas everywhere, and the implicate is "wow, look! It's Vimana-o-rama"!
Apropos of your Simpsons post: there's some funky stuff going on at the high end of pop culture.
