...am I the only one who thinks that Welsh and Indian accents don't sound alike at all?? But stories in which people think they're the first to discover a link between IE languages are cute. It's that 'Eureka!' feeling I get in miniature whenever I learn some new piece of linguistic history.

No, I thought the article was pure nonsense. I could never mistake a Welsh accent for a South Continental one.
