Uh oh
For my Moral Reasoning class, tonight I've been reading "Reaping Abuse for What They Sew," a 1997 Washington Post story about sweatshops. I found this a bit disheartening:
Wearing jeans and a denim shirt, the lean, craggy-faced Kim [Young Han], 61, said he had been a lecturer at a junior college in Seoul before coming to the United States years ago to study for a doctoral degree in linguistics under Noam Chomsky. Although that alone makes him a rarity among sweatshop owners, union officials said his violations of labor laws were all too familiar.I fear for my future.
I also fear for my sanity. I've been following the counterXeeding posts on Phonoloblog for a while and I half-intended to write a post about the issue at some point; I woke up this morning with a vague recollection of dreaming that I had written such a post, but I can't remember what exactly I "wrote." Incidentally, I unknowingly haplologized Phonoloblog to Phonoblog for weeks before noticing what I had done.
Bhfuel, sin é -- anois, caithfidh mé dul go dtí an Tabla Gaeilge i dTeach Mather!
