Hello, blogosphere

I feel like I've been neglecting you. It's because I'm trying to get my thesis done (I'm on the conclusion!!), and I was visiting a certain university near the nation's capital last week, and Tocharian is kicking my butt. Good thing I'm not taking it for credit, I tell ya. In fact, right now I'm taking a break from translating Die Erzählung vom mechanischen Mädchen oh-so-tediously through the German textbook/glossary-- I am painfully reminded with every flip of the page that I don't sprechen any Deutsch.

On a happier note, have I mentioned in the last 30 seconds that I'm aaaaalllllmost done with my thesis? It still has no title, but I am confident that the muse will visit me before the 24th. After that, it's off to Atlantic City! Also, grad school news has been rolling in for the past few weeks, and I'm happy to say that it's all good news. I'll make an official announcement when I have made an official decision. In the words of my favorite Babylon 5 character, "soon now, sooooon!"
